Simon, the owner and founder of Ridgeway Frozen, started out with a chest freezer before expanding to a small walk-in freezer where the business took off. Then, in 2019, we moved to our first dedicated facility where we installed our custom-built, state of the art walk-in freezers. Although one of the largest suppliers of frozen food in the UK the personal touch has not been forgotten from our early days.
All of our rodents are farmed on our dedicated rodent farms in Europe, they are regularly tested for salmonella and are health certified by vets. We pride ourselves on the quality of our frozen rodents and their cleanliness. They are cleaned and sterilised, and we avoid all potentially dangerous radiation treatments unlike Chinese imported rodents available from other sources.
All our frozen food has been humanely dispatched following strict legal procedures. We have various sizes available, ensuring their is a prey option to suit nearly all snakes and other carnivores. In fact we probably have the largest selection of different sizes of Rats available on the market, this allows more precise purchasing to ensure you are getting the perfect food for your snakes.
