Mice

Ridgeway Frozen Mice have been specifically bred to feed exotic pets, such as snakes. All the procedures involved in the care, breeding, dispatching and freezing of our frozen mice are in accordance with the guidelines outlined by food standards agencies in the UK and in the EU. They are kept in dry ice during transit to ensure they arrive frozen.

Mice make a great food source for many animals as due to being a whole prey item they provide a complete balanced diet of protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. As well as being a great food source for juvenile and smaller snake species they are also a great treat for other meat-eating reptiles, such as Tegus and Monitors, as well as some large frogs and other amphibians. Mice also make a great food option for carnivorous mammals; such as Skunks, Meerkats, Mongoose, Cats and Ferrets; as well as birds of prey like Hawks, Falcons, and Owls.

The Ridgeway range of frozen mice is available in 10 different weight brackets, this enables precise purchasing of the size required for your animal. In general with snakes the rule is to feed them a prey item that is slightly larger than the middle of their body.
