Ridgeway Frozen Rabbits and Guinea Pigs have been specifically bred to feed exotic pets, such as snakes. Both make excellent prey options for larger snakes, as larger snakes require larger meals! Many believe rabbits to be a rodent, but they aren’t they are lagomorphs, a family of mammals comprising of rabbits, hares and pikas. Guinea Pigs, also known as Cavies are medium to large rodents found in South America. Both are commonly preyed upon by various snake species in nature.
All the animals we offer are produced on our own fully licenced farms in Europe, where they are raised on high quality diets in clean environments and dispatched in a humane manner prior to being flash frozen and shipped to our warehouse where they are stored in specially designed walk in freezers. All the procedures involved in the care, breeding, dispatching and freezing of our frozen cavies are in accordance with the guidelines outlined by food standards agencies in the UK and in the EU. They are kept in dry ice during transit to ensure they arrive frozen.
