Cyrtodactylus lekhaguli, known as Lekhaguli’s Bent-toed Gecko, is a small and beautifully patterned member of the bent-toed gecko group, named in honour of Dr. Boonsong Lekagul, a renowned Thai naturalist. Like other Cyrtodactylus, this species has a slender body, long limbs, and characteristic “bent” toes adapted for climbing on rocky surfaces and vegetation.
In captivity, these geckos thrive in vertically oriented enclosures with plenty of climbing opportunities, hides, and naturalistic décor such as cork bark, branches, and live or artificial plants. They prefer moderate to high humidity (60–80%) and benefit from daily misting to provide both hydration and humidity. While they are nocturnal and do not require intense UVB, a low-level UVB source is beneficial for long-term health.
Their diet should consist of small, appropriately sized invertebrates such as crickets, roaches, and mealworms, all gut-loaded and supplemented with calcium and vitamins. They are active hunters at night, often scaling enclosure walls and perching on branches while foraging.
Cyrtodactylus lekhaguli is a delicate but rewarding species, better suited to intermediate to advanced keepers due to its small size and environmental sensitivity. With proper care, these geckos can live up to 8–10 years in captivity.
Price is for a sexed pair of animals (1 male and 1 female).
