A large carnivorous marine reptile that resembled a crocodile with flippers and an elongated jaw. Some species of Mosasaur reached lengths of 18m.

The tooth is still in the surrounding rock it was found in. The rock may contain more smaller teeth from mosasaurs and sharks. It may also contain skull bone from the Mosasaur, as well as potentially fish and shark vertebrae and possibly other fossils.
