All heat sources should be fitted to an appropriate thermostat which will ensure the temperature does not drop too low, and also does not get dangerously high. The HabiStat Digital Dimming Day/Night Thermostat & Timers is suitable for most heaters and will provide a continual temperature rather than a hot/cold (on/off) cycle. All dimming stats safely increase and decrease the output of a heat source and is recommended for all light emitting heat sources, as it vastly improves their lifespan.

The daytime and night-time temperatures can be set separately and the thermostat provides a continuous readout of current temperature and time. A revolutionary power meter continually indicates % of power to the heater. The two separate timed circuits can be programmed to turn heaters, lighting fans or spray systems on and off twice in a 24 hour period. Both upper and lower temperature limits can be set. The unit comes with preset ‘general’ parameters so it can just be plugged in and used if required. Unit will not lose memory settings if power is disconnected. Measures to 0.1 °C. Easy to set and use. Maximum 600 watts.

The waterproof, low voltage sensor is on a 3m long cable allowing the unit to be used in even the largest enclosures, or reach behind large stacks of vivariums.

The adjustable alarm function will give visual and audible warning when temperature goes above or below the programmed upper and lower temperature parameters. Though these alarms can be disabled if not required.
