EarthPro CustodianFuel is a highly nutritious food for springtails and other custodians including isopods and roaches. It comes in a pellet form for easy use. Feeding the terrarium custodians will encourage them to breed and multiply, creating a healthier environment for the terrarium occupant. In abundance they can also act as a food source for many species of small lizards and amphibians.

In bioactive systems, custodians feed on the waste produced by the enclosures inhabitants; in the form of faecal matter, urates and uneaten food; as well as fallen leaves and other detritus from live plants. In most setups the clean-up-crew can survive on this as a food source alone, but in order to make sure that they thrive and do their job better, it is recommended to feed them. This is particularly recommended in bioactive enclosures for snakes as they tend to produce waste less frequently than other animals.

Nothing is more potent or easy to use when it comes to feeding Custodians. EarthPro-CustodianFuel is simply pressed out of sight into the substrate where it will break down and become a ‘nutrient rich soup’ from which invertebrates can feed. It can also be used to boost start-up cultures of custodians, as feeding them this nutrient rich food will encourage them to breed faster and populate the substrate quicker.
