Fibrous

Fibrous substrates such as Aspen and Lignocel, provide a soft, dust-free, odourless and absorbent substrate. Both are made from non toxic shredded wood sourced from sustainable forests.

Wood fibre substrates make an ideal option for snakes that do not require high levels of humidity; such as North American Colubrids like Corn Snakes, King Snakes and Hognoses. They also make a great choice for bird cages and aviaries as well as in housing for small mammals.

Fibrous substrates are dust extracted during the production process; this keeps mess and allergies at bay, as well as decreasing the likelihood of respiratory infections in the animals.

Wood fibres are incredibly absorbent and will quickly soak up any waste or water spillages, so make a great option for messy snakes; such as Bullsnakes and False Water Cobras. Their absorbent nature also helps to reduce potential smells linked to waste production.
